To get a useful first reply faster, include: your iPhone model and iOS version, the app version, and which tool you were using (Photo Manager, Smart Cleanup, Device Security, Safari content blocker or Account Safety). Never send card numbers or passwords; we can’t see them and never need them.
Photo cleanup
Sweepo grouped photos I want to keep separately.
Similarity grouping is a suggestion, not a verdict — deselect anything you want to keep before confirming. Nothing is removed because it was grouped, only because it was selected.
I deleted photos and my storage barely changed.
iOS moves deleted photos and videos to Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted first, where they’re kept for about 30 days and still count against your storage. Open that album, tap Select, then Delete All to get the space back immediately.
Device Security
What exactly does each check look at?
Passcode status, whether an ad blocker is active, and whether credential protection is configured — all read directly from iOS settings, on your device.
A check says something needs setup. Does Sweepo fix it for me?
No — it points you to the relevant iOS setting so you can make the change yourself. Sweepo doesn’t modify system settings on its own.
Safari content blocker
How do I turn on the content blocker?
Open Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions and switch on Sweepo. Blocking rules are then applied by Safari on your device.
Can Sweepo see my browsing history?
No. Safari applies the blocking rules itself; the App never sees which sites you visit.
Account Safety
Is it safe to type my email or password into Account Safety?
For an email check, only the address you enter is sent to Have I Been Pwned, only when you start a check. For a password check, the password is hashed on your iPhone and only the first 5 characters of its SHA-1 hash are sent — the password itself never leaves your device. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
My email or password showed up in a breach. What should I do?
Change the password on any account that uses it, and turn on two-factor authentication where it’s offered. Sweepo flags exposure — it doesn’t fix accounts on your behalf.
Subscription & billing
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone: open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, select Sweepo, then Cancel Subscription. Do this at least 24 hours before the current period ends, or the next period will be charged.
I deleted the app. Am I still being charged?
Yes, if you haven’t cancelled. The subscription lives in your Apple Account, not in the app itself, so removing the app doesn’t stop renewals.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are decided by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase.
I paid, but Premium features are still locked.
Open the subscription screen in the app and look for a Restore Purchases option, which re-checks your purchase with Apple. The most common cause is being signed into a different Apple Account than the one that paid.
Technical issues
The app crashed or froze.
Force-close the app and reopen it. If it keeps happening, email us with your iPhone model, iOS version, and the app version.
